Panel discussion to cover care-giving issues

To celebrate National Family Caregivers Month in November, the Chesterfield Council on Aging will host a panel discussion about care-giving on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m.-noon, in the Lucy Corr Village multipurpose room, 6800 Lucy Corr Blvd. The discussion is free and open to the public.

The panel will feature a family caregiver and representatives from the Virginia Center on Aging, the Alzheimer’s Association, Senior Connections and the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Gerontology. Panelists will discuss what caregivers should know, resources that are available to them and how they can avoid burnout. Participants will be able to ask questions of the panel, and caregiver-related vendors will be on hand.
