Traffic circle

Well, here we go again in Chesterfield County, unable to get a traffic signal at a nightmare intersection (Old Hundred Road and Kelly Green Drive).

In reading the Sept. 15 issue of the Chesterfield Observer, I learned that the school board had paid yet another consultant (this time for a traffic study at the above mentioned intersection) that resulted in absolutely nothing being done to address a real problem. And a traffic circle is now the answer? Imagine the inexperienced teenage drivers negotiating something that even experienced drivers find problematic.

As a taxpaying citizen, I have to question both the timing of this study as well as the cost and why [the] Virginia Department of Transportation agreed with the findings. Something does not “feel” right about this.
