In the bag

Frank Linkous and Lynne Foote were two of more than 100 volunteers who assembled nearly 2,000 bags of groceries in four days for CCHASM’s Thanksgiving meal program. Each bag contained nonperishable ingredients for a typical Thanksgiving dinner and will feed a family of six to eight people. The meals were distributed to needy families in the county last weekend. Each family received a bag of groceries and a $15 gift card to cover perishable food items. CCHASM saw a 10 percent increase in the number of families requesting meals this year compared to 2009.
