James River student arrested for gun at school

Mongra Mongra An 18-year-old James River High student was arrested Nov. 17 after bringing an unloaded pistol to school. The gun was discovered by a teacher.

Cyril L. Mongra, of the 7100 block of Carriage Pine Drive in Midlothian, was charged with possession of a firearm while on school property and buying or receiving a stolen firearm. Mongra was released on a $3,000 bond and is awaiting a pre-trial hearing, according to WWBT-12 news.
